The naďve artist Ásgeir Emilsson, or Geiri as he was called, was a lively character and a wonderful artist. He had a strong artistic drive and his home represents this clearly. Geiri’s home is virtually the same as it was the day he passed away and there one can see how he lived and worked.
Geiri’s house is in the care of Skaftfell – Center for Visual Art and can be viewed by appointment. It is advisable to book a visit in good time since it needs some planning. Maximum groupsize is 5 people. Admission is 500 pr. person and all profits go into restoration and preservation of Geiri’s legacy.
