During September Skaftfell has organized guided tours for families on Saturdays at 15.00. The tour offers insight into the work of N?na Tryggvad?ttir (1913-1968) and Gunnlaugur Scheving (1904-1972) on display in the exhibition All Kinds of Landscapes. The tour will take place in Icelandic and is a part of BRAS.
BRAS is a new cultural festival dedicated to children and young adults. The festival will take place for the first time all around East Iceland in September 2018, with exhibitions, workshops, concerts, theater performances and more. The festival is launched in?partnership?with?Austurbr?,?the Cultural Center of Flj?tdalsh?ra?, The Cultural Center of?Fjar?arbygg? /?Music Center of Austurland?and?Skaftfell?in?close collaboration with Flj?tsdalsh?ra? Municipality, Fjar?abygg? Municipality,?the School Administration of Austurland?as well as kindergartens and primary schools in East Iceland.
