German artists Uta Pütz presents works in progress in the foyer of Herðubreið Community Center Friday April 28 at 18.00. The art works have been in development for the past two months while Uta was an artist-in-residence at Skaftfell. Uta Pütz was born 1969 in Aachen, Germany. She graduated with a diploma in Visual Art from the State Academy of Fine Arts Karlsruhe in 2011 and was master student of Prof. Meuser at State Academy of Fine Art, Karlsruhe, in 2012. Skaftfell, in collaboration with the Cultural Center of Fljótdalshérað, will host an off-venue for Reykjavík International Film Festival in Seyðisfjörður Thursday Nov 3 in Herðubreið Community Center two movies will be screened, the Icelandic short film The Hot Tub and the Polish film Waves. The program starts at 20.00. Both films have English subtitles and no entrence fee. The event is a part of Days of Darkness.
