The Skaftfell Group welcomes new members! The Skaftfell Group, founded in 1997, is dedicated to advancing the arts in Seyðisfjörður and East Iceland. Originally forming the Skaftfell Art Center in 1998, our membership has grown to include many passionate supporters. As part of the Skaftfell Group, members are involved in appointing directors and alternate members to the Skaftfell board, ensuring our organization thrives while staying true to its founding principles and adapting to global art trends. Joining the Skaftfell Group means participating in our activities and projects. Membership entitles you to priority access to Skaftfell’s newsletters, exhibition openings, artist talks, and other events, including our annual party. Additionally, members enjoy a 15% discount on books and merchandise. Membership is an annual commitment, with a fee of 3,500 ISK charged to your home bank account. These fees play a crucial role in supporting Skaftfell’s ongoing activities and initiatives.
