He has worked as a chef for the past 11 years in Denmark, France and Spain and has at the same time developed his practice in photography and video. His work has been shown at TIFF, Skjaldborg and Her\u00f0ubrei\u00f0.<\/p>\n<p>Gar\u00f0ar is currently employed as a cook on the \u00cdsfisk trawler Gullver NS12, which operates from Sey\u00f0isfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur. He is working on a book with the title <em>Brak og Brestir elda\u00f0 um bor\u00f0 \u00ed Gullver NS12<\/em>, which follows life on board through food recipes, photographs and diaries.
