Ra Tack (b. 1988) is a Belgian painter and sound artist, living and working in Sey\u00f0isfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur, Iceland. Their paintings oscillate between abstraction and representation, often rendered in oil on large canvases. This installation features recent smaller works in oil stick on paper that are more intimate in scale. Tack\u2019s compositions are composed of lush, expressive textures and colours, and deal with themes of transition, duality, love and longing.<\/p>\n
Tack\u2019s work has been exhibited widely, including solo and group exhibitions in London, Ghent, Berlin, New York, Copenhagen, and Marrakech. One of the leading painters working in East Iceland today, their work will be featured in a forthcoming exhibition at \u00c1smundarsalur in July-August, 2023.<\/p>\n
The Skaftfell Bistr\u00f3 exhibits works by artists local to Sey\u00f0isfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur and the East Fjords of Iceland.
