{"id":11063,"date":"2025-02-04T12:03:34","date_gmt":"2025-02-04T12:03:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/skaftfell.is\/exhibition\/sun-swallower\/"},"modified":"2025-10-14T20:22:09","modified_gmt":"2025-10-14T20:22:09","slug":"sun-swallower","status":"publish","type":"exhibition","link":"https:\/\/skaftfell.is\/is\/exhibition\/sun-swallower\/","title":{"rendered":"Sun Swallower"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>S\u00d3LARGLEYPIR \/ SUN SWALLOWER<br>February 14 &#8211; March 15<br><br>Exhibition opening: February 14, 17.00 &#8211; 18.00<br><br>Skaftfell Art Center announces the forthcoming group exhibition: <em>S\u00f3largleypir: Sun swallower <\/em>featuring works by artists Frederikke Jul Vedelsby, Gunnd\u00eds \u00ddr Finnbogad\u00f3ttir &amp; \u00deorger\u00f0ur \u00d3lafsd\u00f3ttir, Hanna Christel Sigurkarlsd\u00f3ttir, Hildigunnur Birgisd\u00f3ttir, Hreinn Fri\u00f0finnsson, \u00d3lafur El\u00edasson, Una Margr\u00e9t \u00c1rnad\u00f3ttir &amp; \u00d6rn Alexander \u00c1mundason.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The exhibition coincides with the 10th anniversary of List \u00ed lj\u00f3si light festival in Sey\u00f0isfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur and is curated by Director of Skaftfell Art Center, Celia Harrison.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After four long months the mountains have cast shadows over Sey\u00f0isfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur, <em>S\u00f3largleypir<\/em> considers both monumental and subtle ways of anticipating the sun\u2019s return.
