Hanna Christel Sigurkarlsd\u00f3ttir lives and works in Sey\u00f0isfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur, as a project manager in various cultural projects. She graduated in 2002 with a B.A. from the multimedia department in Iceland Academy of the Arts. She has worked mainly with spatial installations with a focus on the sense of material, space and colour and sometimes sound and even performance. Lately she has worked on reliefs which come from the same thought process but in a smaller scale where geometrical forms, texture and contrast in material and interplay of colours, plays with the subjective perception of the viewer. In her work she repeatedly uses textile to represent colour and texture.
