Sumari\u00f0 2013 gaf h\u00fan \u00fat lj\u00f3\u00f0ahlj\u00f3mpl\u00f6tuna\u00a0\u201eEnter the Enlightenment, Become Real&#8220; sem inniheldur frumsamin lj\u00f3\u00f0 \u00c1sd\u00edsar, ort \u00e1 undanf\u00f6rnum \u00e1rum.<\/p>\n<h3>N\u00e1nar um verkefni\u00f0<\/h3>\n<p><em><a href=\"https:\/\/videostream.ro\" target=\"_blank\">Artists as Agents of Institutional Exchange<\/a><\/em>\u00a0is a 2015 joint initiative of tranzit.ro\/ Iasi and Skaftfell, Seydisfjordur, Iceland, that is materialised into a unique live streaming platform dedicated to the use of its artists in residence: Cristina DAVID and \u00c1sd\u00eds Sif GUNNARSD\u00d3TTIR. As practitioners, we often witness or create a result of artistic research that is mostly based on past, hidden, personal processes, on archaeological praxis, but we never allow ourselves the freedom to go live into the void of online audience and perform a video or carry out research together with our audience. Through this project, a term deemed to live forever in the past, the footage (a film that has been shot) will thus be experienced live, instantly, by the contemporary artist and the contemporary online witness. Platforms for live streaming are already the new institutional media in various instances, but this project is doing more than transmitting the result. Its function is to offer to our two artists in residence a new tool for live footage. It is about transforming this communication medium into a medium of artistic production, where the artist will have full control and responsibility for engaging a larger audience into a personal research process. With this we hope to further expand the notion of what an artist residency can be, by closely examining two institutional experiences from both the artists\u2019 and the producers\u2019 perspective. The new method for embarking on such a process is to empower the artist as an internal agent.<\/p>\n<h3>Um Tranzit.ro<\/h3>\n<div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<div><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft lazyload\" title=\"tranzit_place\" data-src=\"https:\/\/skaftfell.is\/wp-content\/smush-webp\/2025\/08\/tranzit_place.jpg.webp\" alt=\"tranzit_place\" width=\"233\" height=\"207\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 233px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 233\/207;\" \/><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ro.tranzit.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">tranzit.ro<\/a>\u00a0was founded in 2012 at the initiative of ERSTE Foundation, becoming thus the fifth member of\u00a0tranzit.org, a network of independent, non-profit organisations in Austria, the Czech Republic, Hungary and the Slovak Republic.\u00a0tranzit.ro\u00a0has the particularity of being itself a network, activating in three permanent spaces in the cities of\u00a0Iasi, Cluj and Bucharest.\u00a0Rather than illustrating curatorial concepts, tranzit.ro\/ Ia\u0219i searches long term involvement with art projects or artists that may initiate public interventions and influence the mental or social constructions that surround us. tranzit.ro\/ Ia\u0219i is a curated institution whose mechanics is softly determined by a local context within an international constellation.<\/p>\n<div id=\"stcpDiv\">\n<p><em><a href=\"https:\/\/videostream.ro\" target=\"_blank\">Artists as Agents of Institutional Exchange<\/a><\/em> er samstarfsverkefni <a href=\"https:\/\/ro.tranzit.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">tranzit.ro<\/a> \u00ed R\u00famen\u00edu og Skaftfells \u2013 myndlistarmi\u00f0st\u00f6\u00f0 Austurlands.
