Skaftfell is delighted to announce its participation in a new international research project, which was officially launched last week at Cove Park residency in Scotland and will continue until 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We are very much looking forward to our collaboration with the Nordic Alliance of Artists’ Residencies on Climate Action (NAARCA)<\/strong>. The project is co-devised and co-led by Cove Park<\/a> (Scotland) and Saari Residence<\/a> (Finland). Further project partners are Arctic Culture Lab<\/a> (Greenland), Artica Svalbard<\/a> (Norway), Art Hub Copenhagen<\/a> (Denmark), and Baltic Art Center<\/a> (Sweden). Together, we will collaborate on research, art production, institutional change, knowledge exchange and public education around climate action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The first assembly of the alliance from 1-3 November has laid the ground for our future collaborations, projects, commissions, residencies, and events, and has enabled all involved to take part in the symposium Turbulence \/ Emergence \/ Enchantment<\/a>, which took place at Cove Park from 4-7 November.<\/p>\n\n\n\n NAARCA\u2019s initial three-year programme is generously supported by Kone Foundation<\/a> and Nordic Culture Fund<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
