The Swiss artist Roman Signer has been involved with Iceland in various ways during the last years. His works have been exhibited here and he’s been collaborating with Icelandic artists; among them Tumi Magnússon, residing in Denmark and Seyðisfjörður, and Birgir Andrésson, who passed away in his prime in 2007. Magnússon and Signer have realized new works especially for this exhibition and text-works by Andrésson are exhibited.

Rakel Sverrisdottir (Iceland) and Gordana Bezanov (Zambia/Serbia/UK/Italy), embarked on a collaborative project exploring the potential of communication using only visual language.
Since the beginning of 2009, the artists have communicated with each other through the international postal system, using the format of postcards: an on going project.
The collaborative postcard project brings the two artists to further explore their work at the residency in Seydisfjordur, where the initial part of the postcard project reaches it’s culmination, and will be put on display for the first time (other than being viewed by our beloved post-people, who have enjoyed delivering the works over the past months!)
