Even ugliness is beautiful on film. The glitch between fantasy and reality is not manifested in big gestures. My name is Malin Ståhl and I work in video and photography. In the borderland between the documentary and the fictional identity is shaped. Identity can be expressed through place, relations, fantasies. Global mass-culture and local, geographically specific culture is brought together in the idividual. I seek coherence and discrepancy.
