It’s no longer possible to map any distance, is a short story written by Shahan Neman that describes a walk that blinds the eyes that try to look ahead. This simple metaphor tells the story of those who try to overcome distance. When distance is experienced, a tension between terrains and emotional states is felt, blurring measurements. The path becomes the medium that registers the movement of bodies, in orbits, mocking endings and beginnings.

This exhibition gathers the works of twelve Icelandic artists. They walk with a distance between them, but the gap is filled with a thick presence, so thick you can slice it up. Even though it’s see-through, it’s hard to see what’s there. They are bound in difference but standing on solid ground, dark and shimmering, sometimes disorienting, sometimes underplaying a kind of anticipation that is never relieved.

Lotte and Mariana have met the praxis and the artists through their collaboration with the LungA school and Skaftfell over the years. They like to think about this exhibition as a situation, to convey and lean on its spirit, acting as a landscape of associations among thoughts, words and invisible experiences.
