Skaftfell warmly invites you to an opening of Leonie Lass’s pop-up exhibition to cover, to hold today at 5pm in Skaftfell gallery.

Developed during her residency in Seyðisfjörður, the exhibition reflects on the fragile architectures that sustain communal life, shaped by the closure of the local fish factory and its ongoing absence. Fragments of the abandoned factory reappear in the gallery as metallic and plastic elements, removed from their original function and reconfigured into a new spatial condition. No longer tools or covers, they exist in an ambiguous state. Covering becomes both protection and concealment, holding what has been left behind.
