Skaftfell presents an exhibition of new works by Pétur Kristjánsson on the West Wall of Skaftfell bistro.
Opening alongside List í ljósi, February 14th at 18.00

The images here, nine in total, are all of the same “object” viewed from different angles. The animation on the screen is also of this same object. When we see phenomena from multiple perspectives, it offers an opportunity to rethink our attitudes towards things and situations!

Pétur Kristjánsson (b. 1952) Completed an Agricultural degree from Hólar in Hjaltadalur, studied folklore and completed fil.cand. degree from the University of Lund, Sweden. He is self-taught in visual arts, but worked with/for Dieter Roth during 1991-1998 and was also the director of the East Iceland Heritage Museum from 1986-2019. Pétur is a professor and founding member of the Dieter Roth Academy. He has exhibited regularly in Iceland and Europe since 1991.
