Reserved for Sunlight is an exhibition of framed works and small sculptures by Joe Keys, created over recent years. Throughout his practice, Joe works with drawing, sculpture, poetry and the relationship between these mediums. His drawings often contemplate a sculptural space, while his sculptures are installed in the manner of drawing. He predominantly works with found and leftover material.Joe Keys graduated from the Fine Art department of Iceland University of the Arts in 2021. He was born in Newcastle, UK and has lived in Iceland since 2018.
Solo exhibitions include Midst at Berg Cultural House, Dalvík, Else at Kling & Bang, Reykjavík and group exhibitions include Innviðir/Infrastructures at Árnagarður, Reykjavík, D-vítamín/Vitamin D at Listasafn Reykjavíkur and Laust mál at Skaftfell Art Center, Seyðisfjörður.
