Skaftfell Art Center has hosted exhibitions since 1995, presenting a diverse program of contemporary art with around five exhibitions annually. Past exhibitions have included artists such as Bernd Koberling, Björn Roth, and Dieter Roth (1999), Margrét H. Blöndal (2017), the artist-run bookstore Boekie Woekie (1996), and more recently Nína Magnúsdóttir, Cheryl Donegan and Kjarval.
