Today, a great friend and colleague of Skaftfell for decades, Guðmundur Oddur Magnússon (5.6.1955 – 3.1.2026), will be laid to rest.

Goddur’s funeral will be held at Fríkirkjan in Reykjavík today, February 9th, at 1:00 p.m. The funeral will be streamed at Skaftfell’s Bistro for all those who wish to gather to say their final goodbyes.

After the funeral, a reception will be held at Kling & Bang gallery in Reykjavík.

It is with sadness in our hearts that Skaftfells members, past and present, bid farewell. Our thoughts are with Goddur’s family and loved ones, while we wish him a safe journey into the summer land.
