During my first residency stay in Iceland in December 2008 I was quite impressed by the christmas lighting. Even graveyards were covered with colourful little lights. A poetic and sometimes also kitschy contrast to the darkness that time of the year.
Now five years later I try to take part in the icelandic tradition of illuminating the windows of the houses.
