Zdenka Brungot Sv?tekov? and her team, currently participating in Skaftfells residency program, will show a performative work in progress in Her?ubrei?s cinema space on September 10. The event is free and everyone is welcome. Light refreshments will be available.?
In addition, two free outdoor performances will be shown in the coming days, subject to weather. Everyone is welcome to attend at any time during the performances:?

Tracing a parallel between the body of Earth and the human body, Hazard Zone aims to develop a vision of the Body through the prism of geological phenomena. The work investigates two spatio-temporal scales: the human and the planetary, and thus develops in a zone of friction between the transitory nature of human life and the deep time of planet Earth. Hazard Zone is meant as a poetic and metaphorical vision, and intends to raise our awareness of the fact that a Body is a place in constant change and transformation.?
This work in progress has developed from long term research, exploring the tectonics and micro-tectonics of matter. It draws inspiration from geological processes and somatic memory. It inquires the mechanisms and dynamics at play in a single body, between bodies, and between bodies and the spaces they inhabit.?

Zdenka Brungot Sv?tekov? (NO/SK) is a dancer, performer, dance maker and facilitator. She graduated with a Master degree in dance from the Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts in Bratislava, Slovakia. Her artistic and choreographic work takes the form of performances set in and for various spaces such as theatres, galleries or public spaces. It is bound together by long term interests including memory, touch, instant composition, process and the nature of collaboration.
