Skaftfell artist in residence Gregory Thomas opens his exhibition everyone i ever loved in Herðubreið gallery on April 4th at 4pm. The exhibition will be on view until April 18th.
everyone i ever loved is a series of prints about love, memory, grief, visual media, nostalgia, imagination, and aphantasia.
Aphantasia is a condition where a person does not have a mind’s eye and cannot conjure any mental imagery of either something real, imagined, or drawn from memory.
This series of prints explores the experience of aphantasia and its relation to memory, how we visualize ourselves, and remember those we love(d).
