We are two artists who are also parents to a young child, and are based in a rural community. In our residency we will explore the possibility of our practice together to disrupt, challenge and play with perceptions of rural and remote landscapes as wild, geological and vacant. We also hope to challenge the hostility of artistic work to parenthood by undertaking a residency on this theme in a highly relevant setting with our own child along with us.
