Sindri Dýrason presents the painting series Paradise Lost at the West Wall of Skaftfell Bistro.
Opening on Friday 2nd of May at 4pm.
Sindri Dýrason’s exhibition is inspired by John Milton’s beautiful poem “Paradise Lost”.
The exhibition, like the book, deals with the place of man in God’s created world.
How Lucifer lured Adam and Eve from their comfortable abode in the Garden of Eden into a contradictory world, where they had to accept and understand the difference between good and evil.
Sindri abstractly creates images of gods and demons that play wildly on the canvas in great colorful splendor. There, you can see Lucifer, who would rather be his own master than a humble servant in heaven. There, you can also see God, the father, who cries many tears over the evil of free will.
After a good stay in Seyðisfjörður, Sindri let the beautiful descriptions in the book flow into his consciousness and out into the sea of colors that characterize this first exhibition of the artist in Seyðisfjörður.
