Brianna Leatherbury’s recent work begins with research that is both personal and structural. They create abstract systems that investigate the material effects of economic forces through individual relationships and conversational encounters. Working with the materials of intimacy, industry, and finance, across sculpture, performance, and documentation, they aim to infiltrate our surrounding infrastructures. Their testimonial works seek new opportunities of relation.
Saemundur Thor Helgason is an Icelandic artist based between Reykjavik and Amsterdam. Helgason works across different mediums of visual culture, including film, fashion and mass media. Turning the contemporary onto itself, his work aims to influence the public imagination, serving as an active agent in society. In 2022 he completed his artist-in-residence at the Rijksakademie van Beeldende Kunsten in Amsterdam.
