We are welcoming the year with a great group of third year fine art students from the Icelandic University of the Arts, staying at Skaftfell for two weeks and working on an exhibition opening on the 24th of January under the guidance of artist Gunnhildur Hauksdóttir.
This week they have looked around and gotten to know the town with visits to Herðubreið, Geirahús, LungA school, Prentverk Seyðisfjörður, Technical Museum and attended a lecture on archeological digs in Seyðisfjörður from Rannveig Þórhallsdóttir and visited Pétur Kristjánsson to learn about the history of the town and the art of Dieter Roth.
