Our Art Sale for Ukraine managed to raise 500.000 kr !
The full amount has now been sent to the Icelandic Red Cross’ special fund for Ukrainian refugees.
The fundraiser event was organized by Skaftfell, together with the artistic community of Seyðisfjörður, last Sunday. Over 30 artists donated their artwork, created a pop-up exhibition in Skaftfell’s gallery, and the sale turned out to be very successful. Musicians Vigdís Klara Áradóttir and Guido Bäumer participated with a live musical performance.
We would like to thank all the artists for their generous donations, all other participants for their contributions of time, practical help, and supportive spirit, and of course we thank everyone who bought an artwork. We are sincerely moved by the wonderful response that this event received from the local community. Thank you all!
