Skaftfell Residency Program hereby calls for applications for a Residency stay with a grant courtesy of KulturKontaktNord.
Nordic and Baltic artists are eligible to apply for a 2 month residency with full grant between November 2012 Â January 2013.
The living/working facilities will be at Skaftfells residency apartment at the Skaftfell  Center for Visual Art in Seyðisfjörður. The apartment has two bedrooms + a large living/working room with a kitchen, Wc with shower, and wireless internet.
The residency grant includes:
- Travel grant up to 450Â for flights to Iceland. Collectable after booking.
- Travel grant from ReykjavÃk to Egilsstadir up to 200Â
- Monthly allowance of 1000Â
- Fully covered residency fee
- Some project and material cost support
Criteria
Skaftfell uses the following criteria when evaluating applicants:
- Primarily the quality of the applicants work as indicated by submitted visual documentation.
- A record of exhibition and curriculum vitae.
- Demonstration of a serious and consistent dedication of the professional practice of visual arts through submitted documents.
- Evidence that the applicant is at a critical juncture in their development that will be advanced by the residency.
- A thorough project description for the residency period

Application deadline is 20th June 2012.

Required documents:
- Artists statement/Project description, see application form, please try to use text sparingly and to the point on the form.
- Artists CV, please do not send a CV exceeding 2 pages.
- Examples of works (5-10), either as prints or on 1 Cd. Please do not send CdÂs containing more than 10 documents, the files should be .jpg for images and .mov for video. We use Mac computers with Preview and QuickTime for viewing works.
Proof of artists nationality is required (scan of passport f.ex.).
