Glass House

10.05.10 – 30.05.10
The Bookshop-projectspace

A series of photographic combinations, exploring structural and symbolic relationships between four different locations in America. Philip Johnson’s iconic Glass House is shown in relationship with an anonymous concrete block structure from a mining town in Pennsylvania. A dilapidated advertising sign is shown next to an image of the Twin Towers, pinned up on the inside wall of a domestic environment. These and other combinations form a quiet memorial to America. The image combinations will change each day for the first week of the exhibition.
