Skaftfell Art Gallery announces a new partnership for the management of Skaftfell Bistró, looking ahead to a grand reopening of the restaurant in early May. The new restaurant managers–Eva Jazmin, Sesselja Hlín, Garðar Bachmann, Hjörvar, and Sóley Guðrún– together offer many years of professional experience in culinary art and hospitality management. Under the direction of executive chef Garðar Bachmann, the Skaftfell Bistró will feature a visionary menu combining traditional Icelandic fare with an innovative twist.
In keeping with Skaftfell´s principles of sustainability and respect for the natural environment, the restaurant menu will focus on locally-sourced fresh ingredients, including fish, meat, vegetarian dishes, local brews and organic wines. The restaurant will celebrate the sea and land around us, supporting and promoting our local farmers and fishermen, producers and procurers.
