Welcome on Sunday to events that are a part of RÓ RÓ, the Skaftfell summer exhibition. The program begins in the Harbour community garden and then relocates to Skaftfell’s backyard.
Program starts at 15.00 Artists Gunnhildur Hauksdóttir re-performs “Census” in the Harbour community garden. The work, that now contains approx. 500 names, has been revised since it was previously performed at the opening of RÓ RÓ June 17. Electronic musician Auxpan, aka Elvar Már Kjartansson, will perform in the Skaftfell backyard. Elvar has been composing electronic music for over 10 years and has been very active in that field. Artists Daníel Karl Björnsson performs “Mountain speech”. The performance includes balloons, sweets and various things.Finally The Mountain Lady’s garden party is an open platform and stage for everyone to share what ever they like: performances, music, pancakes, sculptures, theatre, tea, palm reading and games. The garden is open and the Mountain Lady welcomes everyone. The first party took place in 2004 and was held annually until 2011.
