RIFF selection in Seyðisfjörður

Skaftfell, in collaboration with the Cultural Center of Fljótdalshérað, will host an off-venue for Reykjav­ík International Film Festival in Seyðisfjörður

Thursday Nov 3 in Herðubreið Community Center two movies will be screened, the Icelandic short film The Hot Tub and the Polish film Waves.

The program starts at 20.00. Both films have English subtitles and no entrence fee.

The event is a part of Days of Darkness.

Waves

Ania and Kasia are two lively, sympathetic seventeen year olds. They have to manage their own lives, as their own parents did not learn to manage theirs. The girls live in Nowa Huta. They have an internship at a small hair salon. They want to become professional hairdressers. Ania and Kasia become closer. They form a deep bond. One day, Ania’s peace is disturbed when her mother, who she hasn’t seen for over half a year, shows up.
