Due to cancellation the Skaftfell Residency Program now has an opening this coming April and May for artists to apply and come with short notice !

The residency available is a shared residency at Norðurgata in the old part of town and the flat will be shared with one other artist. The flat has two private bedrooms, bathroom with shower/bath, kitchen, a living room area with some studio/working facilities and wireless internet.
The residency fee is 360 € pr. month.

Skaftfell’s residency program is aimed at visual art, however professional artists can apply regardless of practise.

The Skaftfell residency program’s objective is to create a platform to stimulate innovative dialogue between art and life in the rural setting of East-Iceland.
Allowing a space for artists to experience and explore a new angle to their artistic work in context with living and working in a unique, micro community made up of artists and the general public where creativity is applied to every day life.
