Saturday the 28th. of April 2012 the sculpture SYLT / SÃLD – Island On The Island, by the artist group GV will be celebratory opened. The project was developed during a 4 week residency at Skaftfell – Center For Visual Art. The shown sculpture on the landfill area is sketched after the shape of the northern German island of Sylt formerly written as Sild (herring)
The opening will take place at the Bookshop – projectspace at 17:00 and thereafter continue at the landfill where the sculpture will be officially declared open.
