The annual authors train will stop in Seyðisfjörður the first weekend of advent Saturday Dec 2. The event will start at 20.30 and take place in the Skaftfell gallery. The authors Jónas Reynir Gunnarsson, Hrönn Reynisdóttir, Valur Gunnarsson and Friðgeir Einarsson will read from the newly published novels, as well as authors from East Iceland. Special guest is Fríða Ísberg. The reading will be in Icelandic. Admission 1500 ISK but 500 ISK for children and elderly.
New works by Claudia Hausfeld, Sindri Leifsson, Eva Ísleifsdóttir and Elísabet Brynhildardóttir explore objecthood in a multitude of ways. For the past year, the artists have been engaged in conversation in each others studios and in August 2017 participated in an exhibition in Bjarki’s project space, ca. 1715, run out of a Late-Baroque cabinet in his home. There they presented sketches and preparations for the exhibition, opening their process to an audience while mid way through making new bodies of work.
