Mapping Sound. For his artist residency at Skaftfell in the autumn of 2022, Czech sound installation artist Jan Krtička made field recordings of site-specific locations in Seyðisfjörður and Skálanes. One can access these recordings on the website aporee.org, a database of field recordings from around the world. The Arctic Creatures Revisited

Skaftfell announcing the opening of its summer exhibition The Arctic Creatures Revisited, on view to the public from May 6 – August 20, 2023. The exhibition features more than 20 photographs by The Arctic Creatures, a a collective of three artists — visual artist Hrafnkell Sigurdsson, filmmaker and director Óskar Jónasson, and actor/theatre director Stefán Jónsson.
