Skaftfell Residency Program hereby calls for applications for a Residency stay with a grant courtesy of KulturKontaktNord. Nordic and Baltic artists are eligible to apply for a 2 month residency with full grant between November 2012  January 2013. The living/working facilities will be at Skaftfells residency apartment at the Skaftfell  Center for Visual Art in Seyðisfjörður. SYLT / SÍLD opening Saturday 17:00
Saturday the 28th. of April 2012 the sculpture SYLT / SÃLD – Island On The Island, by the artist group GV will be celebratory opened. The project was developed during a 4 week residency at Skaftfell – Center For Visual Art. The shown sculpture on the landfill area is sketched after the shape of the northern German island of Sylt formerly written as Sild (herring) The opening will take place at the Bookshop – projectspace at 17:00 and thereafter continue at the landfill where the sculpture will be officially declared open.
