Printing Matter exhibition

On Saturday, September 22, the yield from Printing Matter, a thematic residency organized by Skaftfell in collaboration with the Technical Museum of East Iceland, will be on public display. This is the third edition of the Printing Matter residency. Seven artists from around the world have been participating in the three-week residency, starting at the beginning of September. The group’s working process has been emphasizing artist bookmaking and different printing methods as well as creating a platform for knowledge exchange, dialogue and collaboration between participants. BRAS: New culture festival for children and young adults

Skaftfell is one of the initiators of BRAS, a new cultural festival dedicated to children and young adults. The festival will take place for the first time all around East Iceland in September with exhibitions, workshops, concerts, theater performances and more. BRAS is launch in partnership with Austurbrú, the Cultural Center of Fljótdalshérað, The Cultural Center of Fjarðarbyggð / Music Center of Austurland and Skaftfell in close collaboration with Fljótsdalshérað Municipality, Fjarðabyggð Municipality, the School Administration of Austurland as well as kindergartens and primary schools in East Iceland.
