He has worked as a chef for the past 11 years in Denmark, France and Spain and has at the same time developed his practice in photography and video. His work has been shown at TIFF, Skjaldborg and Herðubreið. Garðar is currently employed as a cook on the Ísfisk trawler Gullver NS12, which operates from Seyðisfjörður.
