Printing Matter 2018

Application deadline: Sept 15, 2017 Printing Matter is a three-week thematic residency with an intensive program for 8-10 artists, focusing on artist book making. The program is guided by Åse Eg Jørgensen and will take place in English. Two different time periods are available. [box]Dates: February 5 – 26 and September 3 – 24, 2018. Stereoskin

British artist Mary Hurrell concludes her residency stay with a live audio visual presentation entitle Stereoskon. The presentation will take place Friday April 28 at 18:30 in the cinema of Herðubreið and is approx 20 minutes. Mary Hurrell works with performance and sculpture to explore choreography of the body, space, sound and object. Exploring the embodiment of psychological and emotional states, the sensual and synaesthesia. The work shifts in constellations of stasis and motion, sound and silence, absent and present physicality. Hurrell graduated from BA Dance and Visual Arts, University of Brighton (2004) and MA Sculpture, Royal College of Art (2011).
