Skaftfell welcomes three artists-in-residence for March with an open artists talk Thursday March 9 in the Bistro. Mary Hurrel (UK), Uta Pütz (DE) and Tzu Ting Wang (TW) each have 20 minutes to give insight to their practise and current research topics. The talk begins 16.30 sharp and will be in English. About the artists Mary Hurrell works with performance and sculpture to explore choreography of the body, space, sound and object. The visualisation of light and dark

Seyðisfjörður is currently preparing for the come-back of the sun. Last year the light was celebrated in a visual way through a new light festival List i Ljósi and this year the celebration continues in late February – through performances, sculptures, film and installations. Leading up to the festival Skaftfell organised an art workshop in Seyðisfjarðarskóli and got two artists; Hrafnhildur Gissurardóttir and Laura Tack, to lead the workshop.
