THIS CALL IS NOW CLOSED. Skaftfell is pleased to announce that we are able to offer three 2-month residency grants in 2021, courtesy of the Nordic Baltic Mobility Programme. These grants are available for artists from Denmark, Estonia, Faroe Islands, Finland, Greenland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Sweden, and Åland. Artists already based in Iceland are not eligible, as the program intends to foster the mobility of artists between the Nordic and Baltic countries. Current artist in residence Bjargey Ólafsdóttir (IS) presents her exhibition Tíra / Scintilla in the Skaftfell gallery from May 11 to May 30. Access is through the bistro, on weekdays 12:00 -13:00 and 18:00 – 20:00, on Sat/Sun 18:00 – 20:00, or by appointment (call Skaftfell on 4721632). Bjargey Ólafsdóttir lives and works in Reykjavík.
